I know the Twins seemingly have more talent.

 

I know we get our asses kicked by them in head to head games.

 

I know we have only had a great month stretch of baseball and the rest has been s***.

 

I know our bullpen is a mess.

 

I know our offense is so inconsistent that it makes your head want to explode.

 

I know we need a left handed power bat and we failed to get one.

 

I know we have proven we arent contenders whenever faced up against key moments in big games.

 

I know the remaining schedule benefits the Twins.

 

I know that most people including the Whitesox themselves doubt themselves to even make this a race towards the end.

 

...but for some reason I have this weird feeling in my gut that the Sox are going to somehow, some way pull this out even though it makes no sense.

 

I am probably just a homer/idiot talking dumb. Baseball is just so weird sometimes and things workout to where you just scratch your head thinking how did we get here.

I think if the Sox can some way some how SWEEP the twins when they get here that things would be VERY interesting going down the stretch.

That series sucked. Three extra inning games in a row, a double header that ended at 1:15 AM, Joe West, and a bullpen that imploded. I would like to say nothing like that will happen again, and I hope I'm right. Because of the lackluster performance of late, a sweep of the O's is almost a necessity. How about a win tonight, then news that Manny has been acquired, then two more wins. A nice bonus will be a few losses by the Twins.

It just leaves the door open to fans who are more emotional than logical. Thome's gone. People can't get over it. There are people who still believe getting Thome was one of Kenny's worst trades.

 

I've seen a pattern of former Sox like Betamit and Thome hurt the Sox, but what did a formal Royals do to his team? Didn't he hurt himself? Wasn't one the reasons that Kenny got him was because he hurt the Sox? (still doing it I see)
