Well we do only have 25,000 fans tonight and I am guessing CSN isn't the highest rated show today so it is not like we are the Yankees or Red Sox...and we didn't suck for a decade like the Rays. I don't think it is our lack of spending costing us the division.

No offense, but when are people going to give their pitching credit? Duensing has been absolutely amazing this season. Pavano's been stellar all season, and he really stepped up when Liriano was struggling. Blackburn's actually throwing the ball very well since he returned as well. I'm just so sick of people saying we have a better staff than they do.

I know, I know...I should give them more credit but when I watch them pitch they are very underwhelming. But maybe that's their strength, the fact that they throw a ton of strikes and turn it over to a terrific defense behind them. And they don't leave a lot over the plate.

 

Maybe if they can get out of the first round, I'll accept it.

Lets come back and win this game and get some momentum, at least make it interesting, worst case we prove we can beat them and not deal with this crap next year.

The Twins are the epitome of what nibbling Nardi Contreras wanted in a staff. Good control and living on the corners a hitter never seems to get a good pitch to hit. Everything is borderline and close.

They could be the best team in the AL with a healthy Morneau. They've been amazing since the break. And it all started with Bobby's epic choke in that Sunday afternoon game.

 

 

Sorry, the Twins pitching is not that good.

Twins just go out and get their business done quietly (like their manager)...

 

Sox players whine about umpire calls and showboat on defense (like their manager and GM)...

 

Twins are getting this done without 2/3 of their best players which is amazing.
