November 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (chwhtsox @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) The longer you guys make this thread the worse it's gonna be for the next man. Agree -- almost had a heart attack
November 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 9, 2010 -> 11:02 PM) Makes no difference. If they hadn't learned from last year, I wouldn't even have given them a shot in 2011. You misunderstood me. I agree that it should be deleted. I was referring to April 1st as April Fools Day, not the start of the season.
November 10, 201015 yr I think this is a good signing. Kotsay provides a decent bat off the bench and can fill in at 1B and the corner OF positions.

I couldn't agree more. At the bargain price of only $1.5 million, who could pass on an incredible defender at 1B and any OF position? Throw in the fact that he's the most clutch hitter of his era, and you have a no-brainer.
November 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 02:58 AM) Kotsay used to be a pretty decent ballplayer. It's kind of hard to picture it now though. Sometimes they just have a bad year. I don't foresee him coming back to the Sox, but if he did I have seen worse choices

November 10, 201015 yr Latecomer. Pooped my pants a little, then threw up in them. BRB... Edited November 10, 201015 yr by ScottyDo
November 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Nov 9, 2010 -> 10:05 PM) Somewhere Kotsay just grounded to 2nd base. Nobody grounds out to 2nd like Mark Kotsay. Nobody.
November 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (The Critic @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 12:47 PM) Nobody grounds out to 2nd like Mark Kotsay. Nobody. Scott Podsednik? Juan Pierre?
November 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 12:59 PM) Scott Podsednik? Juan Pierre? Erstad FTW
November 10, 201015 yr QUOTE (chwhtsox @ Nov 9, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) I just read that on mlb trade rumors but there's no link to confirm. In a panic, I went to whitesox.com and couldn't find anything there. Can anyone confirm or deny? lol this thread is pure.
November 10, 201015 yr Can we please close and delete this now? Every time I see this thread, it kills a part of my soul.
November 10, 201015 yr Mark Kotsay's Baseball-reference.com page sponsorship: Highly underrated, Mark Kotsay became the best defensive designated hitter in American League history in 2010. Ironically, the sponsor's name is "Jim Thome". link

November 10, 201015 yr Just a couple more posts and this thread will look even more legitimate. Edited November 10, 201015 yr by Milkman delivers
