After being pulled, he went on twitter and started insulting Jay Cutler.

Holy s***.

I'm watching this Brewers/Dodgers game- it must be fun to be a Brewers fan this year. They're pretty legit at home. I'll be catching the Phils up there in September.

Oh, lame.

They are putting a lot of stock in Derek Lowe's performance down the stretch last year, trusting he'll get it together instead of bringing up Minor or Teheran to replace him.

Teheran is freaking 12-1 down in Gwinnett.

But you hate prospects, remember? Oh, the best pitching prospect in baseball goes by the name of Matt Moore.

I don't hate prospects whatsoever.

In fact, I get as excited about some of them as you do.

Teheran is one of those prospects.

I randomly was looking at Ken Griffey Jr's wikipedia page today and was SHOCKED when I saw that he tied to kill himself by taking 227 aspirins when he was 18. I NEVER knew that. How long has that been common knowledge? I never once heard about that....

I've never heard the either.

When the Marlins asked about Ozzie we told them we wanted Morrison in return. The Marlins said no and went on their merry way.

With the bad blood of the Marlins sending LoMo down, IMO the deal seems a lot more possible.

227 aspirins?! I've never attempted suicide or looked up the specifics of it, but isn't that probably way overkill?

Maybe he was a big fan of the sit-com 227. :huh

Looks like it was actually 277.

CBS Power Rankings

Are pretty hilarious this week, including this little excerpt:

Did Kevin Slowey knock up Bert Blyleven's granddaughter or something? During the broadcast of Sunday's game, Blyleven did everything but accuse Slowey of hating baseball, his teammates and America. There's obviously some back story here I've missed ...

Cole Hamels will miss a start with shoulder inflammation. Supposedly MRI shows no structural damage but you never like hearing about shoulder issues with pitchers.

He better be okay... The Phillie pitching is gonna be the only thing that keeps us from an ANOTHER unbearable Red Sox Championship

As awesome at the Phillies are, even if they're healthy I wouldn't peg them as the NL champions just yet. I think they'd still be the favorite but assuming the Giants make the playoffs(yes I know they're 3.5 back but I still think they get in) then the NL is going to be really hard to navigate for anyone. Those should be some fun playoff series.

If the Braves could have a 3 week period where everyone was healthy and Heyward acted like he's supposed to hit, that's one scary team too. They haven't had that stretch the whole year. Now Hanson's having some tendinitis issues too.

As long as someone beats the Red Sox that's all I care about haha

That sounds vaguely familiar for some reason...
