I'd let Buerhle start the 9th

Oh for another run or two. :gosox1:

Keep Mark out there for the 9th.

Now the question is whether Buehrle gets the 9th.. He's at 99 pitches.

Gotta let him finish

Mark

In regards to Fathom's post about Morel:

The biggest concern I have is that he seemingly just swings at everything. If he could improve his patience some, I think he could be solid hitter because right now he can hit. The problem is as other teams scout him more they are going to throw him more and more junk and watch him swing away.

Its Mark's game until he gives up a baserunner. He has earned the right to finish it if he feels up to it.

Buerhle is the man tonite. Wonder if Ozzie let's him go for the 9th? I would kind of doubt it as Gavin had this kind of agame yesterday and was taken out after 8. No reason to extend the pitchers to far this early in ther year.

Who needs strikeouts, right?

It looks like Mark is done. That was a lot of guys running over to pat him on the back.

Good stuff

Let Mark finish it. The A's can not figure him out right now. If I was the A's hitter, I would LOVE to see a new arm in there. Just having Buehrle out there for the 9th should demoralize them.

Hawk & Stone talking as if MB's done.

crap, Mark would've been done in 12 more pitches

The dugout camera shot they showed multiple people going over to pat mark on the back. You don't do that unless you know he is done.

Crap, Thornton's coming in. Laroche and Crisp are good fastball hitters.

Thornton warming

I don't know how Mark doesn't get to at least start the inning. Very worried now.

This is really concerning. MB has been dealing all night, I don't get it.

And for the record, I miss Bobby in these situations.

As long as Ozzie can resist injecting strategy, the Sox will be fine with Mark pitching the 9th.

Let the game be.

Considering it seems that Buehrle was on a short leash in the 8th, he must have told Ozzie after the 7th he was getting tired.
