The guy made light contact and hit a routine grounder with two outs. Seems like Matt did his job.

Why in the heck was Omar covering there? Patterson was definitely trying to pull the ball that entire at bat.

Im not sure he threw a strike to Bautista, so I dont know how they were screaming hit me.

Im pretty sure the plan was to try and get Bautista to swing at a bad pitch, or go after Rivera.

He can't strike everybody out. The guy hit a grounder. It happens sometimes.

People are overreacting.

I wish people would be as forgiving at my job if I sucked as badly as Matt has this season.

And he makes millions.

Dude, him getting a groundball there has absolutelt nothing to do with blown saves 6-7 weeks ago.

Yep, it was strategic blunder...Thornton did his job

Throw a strike make him hit it

He was facing a lefty in Patterson. Just strike him out.

Well, Ozzie lost us this game. And damn Juan, run to a f***ing spot.

Just tuned in. What he do this time?

Hey Crain...try not hanging every freaking slider, thanks

Ozzie lost us this game??

You are a one trick pony.

Give me a break.

FIRE OZZIE!

No matter how many we score pitching gives up more Pierre you f***ing blow in LF.

You're ridiculous. Keep blaming Thornton when our idiot coaching staff had the 2nd baseman covering when a lefty was up.

Ah well I think that would have been caught by an average left fielder, Juan just cant seem to go back on fly balls without making serious blunders.

Sox are so predictable.

Get some runs and the pitching sucks.

Don't get runs and pitching is good. Hilarity.

And why again did we not want to bring Putz back?

This. That was an absolutely ludicrous coaching decision.

If Matt Thornton can't strike out Corey Patterson in that spot, Matt Thornton is worthless.

Crain also pitched AWFUL those 2 at bats.

I want Ozzie fired but I think you are ridiculous in always blaming him and not these horses*** baseball players.

All in baby! Who cares if he's perfect on the season in save opps.
