Why is this game devastating exactly?

Uh, you don't think it's a devastating loss?

We're having a s***ty homestand AGAIN.

Had the game won with 2 outs in the ninth and nobody on?? WIth a 2 run lead?

Yes it is devastating.

Check how many 9th inning leads the other teams in MLB have blown. This damn team has no balls.

That's exactly what I'm saying. This team has no history of bouncing back from devastating losses such as these.

You really should troll elsewhere.

I would also like to know why AJ called for a change-up to Suzuki after the previous one almost hit him in the dick. Santos didn't throw a single change-up that inning that didn't tail hard towards his right.

Sergio has been really solid all year. Just because it hurts right now doesn't mean you start thinking of him as the worst pitcher in baseball.

They stole one last night actually. Dinked and dunked about 4 runs without a hit into the outfield.

You can't start 11-22, lose games like this, and make the playoffs. That's why starting 11-22 almost always leads to an October at home, there's no margin for error. When you start like a major league team, then an occasional loss like this can be absorbed. But with the start this team had, every single loss like this is a major step closer towards the teams typical failed season that ends after 162.

Sox cannot even get to break even .500 and seem to have no interest in ever making it in 2011.

Nope, not devastated at all. It was much worse just losing a game to the Tigers.

2 outs and nobody on? Yes, this qualifies as devastating. You can play the there's still 90 games left or whatever card. I choose not to do that.

Why is this game devastating exactly?

Because we're playing a team with a ten game losing streak, had a two run lead into the ninth, had about ten pitches to end this game, and we had our closer, basically our only reliable bullpen arm, look completely shaken.

Good thing I can't see this game on TV because I would have thrown the TV. This is a pathetic loss no doubt.

How many games did we lose in the standings tonight?

Maybe JR better get off his ass and fire Ozzie and Kenny

The bullpen is in shambles, and I blame KW for leaving the unreliable Pena on the roster coming into the season. The fact we have two righties in the pen that even should sniff a big league roster is usually a bad sign.

We weren't going to go the whole year without Santos blowing a save.

I am still in utter disbelief

Thanks, Hawk. I'll do just that when I deem it necessary.

The same people who are b****ing that the season is over now will be the ones screaming that real fans (like themselves) can't get tickets to the post season games

He's had 3 blow-ups in about 2 weeks. He looked like someone with no confidence at all tonight.

Wow, crazy town on here. Have a great friday night everyone, remember to slit your wrists up your arm, not across.

Reality is s*** teams do the same mistakes over and over Sox have blown the most games from 7th inning on in baseball by a wide margin it is not just about tonight!

0/5 for pierre...

Shouldn't you be giving Bobby a sponge bat right now? :lolhitting

"This game won't matter much in the big scheme of things."

Serg has been great since he's been thrust into the closer's role....this dude was hanging by a thread to a major league career a little over a year ago and is now our closer. He's going to have bad nights just like every other closer. Nights like this make him stronger in the long run.

We've got top of the order coming up...wouldn't write this game off yet.

I say we BLEW one game in the standings tonight. That's exactly what happened.
