White Sox vs Rockies First Pitch 2:10 CT

Featured Replies

the hope is the LHH will hit Cook so get them all in there

the reality is that it will not matter

Sox play three day games this weekend in what looks like 100 degree heat. Konerko and AJ getting the day off is not an issue to me. Aj also has caught a good amount of innings the last week with the extras.

They could not hit Livan so maybe they can hit Cook.

We've had that unusual circumstance of 2 off days in one week.

I don't get why we're sitting Konerko, instead of Pierre, for example. Because Dunn's defense will do much less damage at 1B?

If we already are putting Teahen in RF, might as well thrown Dunn out in LF, too, and go for broke offensively.

Dunn in left field and Teahen in right field? Are you trying to kill Alex Rios?

Great point. Tommorrow is supposed to be 100 degrees right at 1st pitch, they are in a span of 13 straight days with a game, PK & CQ are gonna need a day off at some point. Might as well happen against a guy who lefties have been crushing.

I'm giving Coors field another shot today.. hopefully a better game for the Sox than my visit the other night, and hopefully a better ballpark experience than the mess I experienced on Tuesday.

Scary.

At first I was pissed not seeing PK in there, but we do have 10 straight games after this so it's not the worst thing in the world to give him a day off. But man, Rios at 4 and Teahen at 5? Gross.

That being said, even the lineup we're running out there should pound Cook, so that should not be an excuse if we only score 1 or 2

Hoping for a Peavy shut out

No major surprises in the Rockies lineup: #Rockies vs. CWS, 6/30: Gonzalez8, Herrera4, Helton3, Tulowitzki6, Smith9, Wigginton5, Blackmon7, Pagnozzi2, Cook1. Via @Rockies

Good call on the weather forecast.

Dunn has had three days off. A RH pitcher is on the mound. Said RH pitcher is terrible. Another 0/4, 3 K game and I'm done with him for this year.

So Castro catching Peavy...interesting. I know it's a day game after a night game, but AJP's started the day game a lot of the time in the past.

Wasn't Castro catching Danks/Peavy last saturday?

Scary.

Not as scary as the trip to the OF which was talked about.

I guess Juan's been hitting a bit better recently, but would Ozzie ever put Dunn in LF?

Setup the order like this.

1. Rios-CF

2. Morel-3B

3. Quentin-RF

4. Konerko-1B

5. AJ-C

6. Ramirez-SS

7. Dunn-LF

8. Beckham-2B

9. Pitcher

Why in the name of Caesar would u ever want Rios leading off for this team. Rios is even worse than Juan. Terrible terrible choice IMO.

Is this game on WGN?

except, according to WAR, he is not. Not by much though

Of course not. That was my secret way of motivating Dunn. He values my opinion.

Just a little request. On future game threads can people put in the tv info like last year? It's helpful for lazy people who wanna be reminded if it's on WGN. thanx.

Fair enough.

But just seeing Rios lead off for us is a very depressing thought. He's another of our many candidates for the 9 hole.

His batting stance, the way he holds the bat and his overall approach saddens/sickens me.

I can't disagree.

We have no lead-off man or #2 hitter. Put him there and see what happens.

Study this lineup and tell me we have a chance to win this division.

No way.

This is conceding today's game.

And please don't say I'm over-reacting. This may be the worst lineup for a White Sox team I've seen in decades.

Ozzie conceding games at this stage of the season is very troubling.

Rios our cleanup hitter? Is this a cruel joke?

LOL

I don't know about decades but that truly is a pathetic looking lineup.

I have made the decision to not watch one pitch of this game. I can't imagine what to think if some poor Sox fan drove to todays' game in Colorado to watch that lineup.

It's even weak defensively.
