Good to see Konerko blast it out after only getting a sac fly that would have normally been clobbered by PK. Buerhle another QS start. Hopefully they don't deal him at the deadline. Morel with 3 hits which is encouraging to see after his time of the bench. Dunn I thought did a good job drawing a pair of walks. Faced alot of pitches today, hopefully he can bring it on vs Verlander tmr
July 26, 201114 yr Nice win. I posted this a few days ago. I think the Yanks take Rios and Sale (or Thorton) for Gardner. Something is up with the LHP scenario. Maybe there is something wrong with Thorton. He pitched well Friday.

The way their bullpen looks, yes they are. The Red Sox are loooking really tough. Rios would bat 8th for them and have no pressure at all. Think how well Swisher is doing with no pressure on him.

Yankees have only one reliever in their current bullpen with an ERA over 3.00. Ya they need help on the left side where Thornton certainly comes into play. But to the extent where they are forced to take on Rios, thats a stretch.
