White Sox vs. Royals

Featured Replies

Assuming the Sox win today, here are the records of every 40 games of the Tigers and Sox:

Tigers--

22-18

21-19

21-19

White Sox--

16-24

22-18

22-18

3 things:

1) Starting 11-22 killed the Sox.

2) As mediocre as the Tigers are, they've been consistent.

3) Over the last 42 games, it's tough, and would be tough to make up ground on the Tigers short of beating them 5 out of 6.

Frasor is not impressive at all.

At this point, it looks like picking up that option would be a mistake.

Flowers got that ball off the end of the bat and it went 390 for an out.

He makes contact and the ball goes a long way.

I agree way too expensive.

Might not be all that good at baseball, but Flowers is so strong. Didn't get all of the homer to center last night, and definitely didn't get all of that ball he just hit to the edge of the center field warning track.

2 INSIDE OUT SWINGS FOR RF HITS FOR BECKHAM!!!

Morel finally hit a ball with some authority, but the 2b was close enough to get there.

Never thought I'd see the day where Matt Thornton pitching up 4 in the 8th with nobody on would make me nervous.

If he would pull the ball a little more, he would have 3 home-runs by now.

If the Indians get rained out, they have an off day tomorrow, and then are looking at 45 games in 44 days, including 3 doubleheaders. Ouch.

Great day for the captain.

Long single by Konerko. LOL. God I wish he had mediocre speed.

Hell, I don't mind him hitting it up the middle one bit. I'd rather have him staying up the middle and not hitting teh ball out...because he'll make better contact if he's staying up the middle.

I'm not complaining, I am just pointing out he is getting a little unlucky with his deep flyballs right now, hitting them to the deepest part of the park.

His base hit today was up the middle as well. I'll take it.

He makes contact, he'll be a big league starter. I probably said that 2 years ago about him. Now that we're actually seeing him, it's as plain as can be, he kills the ball when his bat hits it, it's all about not striking out 200 times.

Paul Konerko, apparently, could put up a .900 OPS from a wheelchair. I can't believe he's still hitting this way despite being in so much pain.

Ohman why not leave in thorton

Ohman why not leave in thorton

We have a 4 run lead and there's no reason to push him 2 innings. Especially with extra offdays, spread the load around.

Hawk f***ed up that call, almost better the throw was late. lol. Amazing stop though.

Nice dive Brent. Saved a base even if it didn't get the out.

That was some crazy range on that jump though by Morel. Like a damn frog.

Did he swing at the pitch that hit him in the foot? lol. Sox win.

Oh man doing better lately........... :gosoxretro:
