Shouldn't it be f***ING obvious to our manager that Dayan should be hitting in the 4 slot? Who else do we have with CQ on the DL? Rios should not get another AB all year. You really can hang this loss on Ozzie as well. He's a f***ing idiot.

Peavy still gave the team 5 innings despite an absolute suck fest in the first. But the problems with this team stems from the manager and his terribly wrong use of players like Dunn and Rios.

 

It would be one thing if he was forced to play Dunn and Rios and had no other alternatives. But hey...he does have alternatives and they're all pretty damn solid.

 

It's like Ozzie wanted to lose the damn game.

Such an easy call, it's not "armchair manager", anyone in their right mind would not have Dunn and Rios anywhere near this lineup. No excuse....other than of course a petty hissy fight between our manager and gm.

The Giants DFA'd Rowand. We can make a trade. Dunn for Rowand. Of course the years don't match up but I rather pay 12M to Rowand for 2012 than I think 14M for Dunn for 2012.

That last pitch was a hanger, a cookie, but Rios figured Nathan would try to get him to chase something bad at 0-2 and had his mind made up, because he's ALWAYS GUESSING!!

 

Now, if DV was batting behind Konerko, and providing, VMart, Youk,etc., like protection. . .? Do you think the Tank would have taken that meatball? Konerko could well be more monster-like with some real protection, possibly, maybe?

I still don't understand why he put Omar to pinch hit for Beckham. If I remember correctly, Bekcham's homered off Nathan before (the good one). That's wasting a player for no reason.
