It would be the same as using his picture on the team website, putting his picture on tickets or schedules or programs, etc. Using players to promote the team and thus ticket sales comes with the territory of being a player. They don't get paid extra for it.

They don't get paid extra for it. Do they get paid extra for appearing in commercials for the sox? I always assumed they did, but I am starting to think I'm wrong. December 4, 201114 yr What do think about the idea of inviting Aaron Rowand to spring training? Give him a chance to make our team. Giants are paying him millions for 2012. Low risk...reward? I don't know. Haven't seen him play in awhile. At worst, White Sox fans can see him in spring training and he might motivate other players.
