Again talking about trust in a bench coach, along with experience.

I'm (Robin) not always agreeable with everything (with Kenny). He has to be able to tell him what he is feeling.

"Bottom line is it is about doing what we need to do to win games. That's it."

You can see every pitch you have ever seen in your whole career, and sometimes that can be overwhelming. Sometimes you can pick up more from watching the games on the bench.

He's made this reference a few times the last 24 hours. Think this is in regards to Beckham?

"Adam Dunn is going to fix himself. I hope he is hunting right now. This game is cruel and it can bring you to your knees."

As you get older, your off season changes (talking about Dunn). You can talk him. He first needs to clear his head, and down the road they will look at everything else.

Terry kind of led Robin into a comment that makes it sound like it was the White Sox idea to have him manage -- not Robin's.

I thought Robin made that pretty clear on yesterday's call.

"I'm not one to yell at everyone that I am going to demand respect. We are all going to be held accountable, me included." respect is earned. Will have to say things that people do not want to hear, or won't like.

Won't have problems telling players things they won't like. Respects game too much not to. Won't do it publicly.

I would bet on either him or TCQ.

Didn't hear the call. I'm surprised they're so open about this part of the whole thing.

Not a huge deal on its own, but it'd be a big thing when part of the media battle you have to wage is how motivated to manage your new manager is going to be.

I will say that the chance of Ventura being one and done is infinitely higher than if Martinez or Alomar was hired.

if you vehemently hate Cowley on this then -if logically consistent- you support gun control laws. b/c Cowley is the weapon, Ozzie is the one firing the shots.

though that leaves me nowhere since i hate all aspects/sides of the situation

The Robin getting in Frank's face story being talked about on Boers and Bernstein.

They are also saying that DJ was on the air last night talking about how the player robin would get into anyone's face who wasn't doing what he needed to, but in the clubhouse.

Any details for those that have never heard it?

Nope. Just that it happened.

Robin sounded so f***ing clueless in that interview.

Lawrence: "Do you have any idea what you're looking for in a staff?"

(clearly talking about coaching)

Robin: "Well, it'd be really easy to say I'd like 25-game winners."

After Robin goes on for 3-5 minutes about wanting good pitchers, and wanting Mark Buehrle back, Law tries again...

Lawrence: "Have you given thought to who you'd like to have on your coaching team?"

Robin: "Oh well, that's something Jerry, Kenny, and I will have to discuss."

Do you want him to come out and say who they are hoping to hire?

I want him to not sound like someone completely unprepared for what's to come... sadly, that's what he is, though.

Me too. I suspect that is one of the things he will get better at with experience. Handling the media is an important part of the job, but the media loved Ozzie, and look what that got us.

Give him a few weeks to get used to being addressed and interviewed as a manager...honestly, who gives a s*** how he comes off in these first few interviews?

He said the staff is something they will discuss amongst themselves. I don't really understand what's lacking in that answer.

I do agree he's coming off terrible so far, but thankfully he has time to get these things figured out by next February.

Please tell us in detail exactly how he's "completely unprepared"?
