February 7, 201214 yr Every time I read rebuild I think no, for the love of God, no. Build something different, the original kind of sucked.
February 7, 201214 yr QUOTE (The Baconator @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 09:49 PM) Refinance. Too bad Rios/Dunn/Peavy aren't eligible for TARP financing or the remodified/restructured salary program like SOME homebuyers....we could use the reverse, where instead of modifying the loans to more favorable terms, we could adjust down their contracts based on their underperformance vis a vis expected results. Sometimes you wish MLB was more like the NFL or even the NBA in terms of play for performance. Edited February 7, 201214 yr by caulfield12

Sometimes you wish MLB was more like the NFL or even the NBA in terms of play for performance. The NBA? I think the NBA might be worse than MLB. Didn't Eddy Curry just make $30 million to play 10 games in 3 years for the Knicks?
February 7, 201214 yr Greg Oden also comes to mind...but seems to me the 2nd and 3rd tier players in the NBA have a lot less protection in their contracts than say the 20th-25th players on an MLB roster (if they are veterans).

February 13, 201214 yr Who cares about what the organization or anyone says, its what they do that matters. Words are meaningless, actions are important.
