January 1, 201313 yr Looking back, I'm okay with yesterdays win. I really felt IU played poorly, especially on offense. But Jordan Hulls won't go 0-10 again. If he even shoots 40%, this is a different game. He got good looks. It's not like he forced up a bunch of bad shots. Not a well played game, but for the first road game of the year against a motivated team in a tough place to play, I'll take it.
January 1, 201313 yr QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jan 1, 2013 -> 01:38 PM) Looking back, I'm okay with yesterdays win. It's the big ten season, on the road. Every game is going to be a challenge for the next couple months. It's time for the team to grow up, because from now on, every excuse given is going to turn into a loss.
January 2, 201313 yr The toughest stretch of Indiana's schedule: Sun, Jan 27 vs #18 Michigan State 1:00 PM ET CBS Wed, Jan 30 @ Purdue 8:30 PM ET Big Ten Network Sat, Feb 2 vs #2 Michigan 9:00 PM ET ESPN Gameday Thu, Feb 7 @ #11 Illinois 7:00 PM ET ESPN or ESPN2 Sun, Feb 10 @ #8 Ohio State 1:00 PM ET CBS The Purdue game on Jan 30 doesn't look menacing, but a rivalry game on the road sandwiched in between Michigan and Michigan State is not one to take for granted. One might even say the Big Ten title race will be strongly affected by this stretch of games.
January 2, 201313 yr QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 2, 2013 -> 02:37 PM) Had to share this gif goldness. Hah, that's awesome.
January 3, 201313 yr I forgot what it's like to be nervous for an Illinois basketball game. Would be great to start out conference play with a road win against a very beatable team.
January 3, 201313 yr Rebounding is going to shoot the Illini in the foot the rest of the season in a big way I think. Hopefully losing Griffey and adding another legit big guy recruit will help shore that up next year and going forward.
January 3, 201313 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 2, 2013 -> 07:55 PM) Illinois getting some calls tonight. That 4 point play for BP3 was Jordan/Kobe-esque.
January 3, 201313 yr QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 2, 2013 -> 07:53 PM) Rebounding is going to shoot the Illini in the foot the rest of the season in a big way I think. Hopefully losing Griffey and adding another legit big guy recruit will help shore that up next year and going forward. I've got high hopes for Maverick Morgan, he's tearing it up this season.
January 3, 201313 yr QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 2, 2013 -> 07:58 PM) I've got high hopes for Maverick Morgan, he's tearing it up this season. I still can't get over the fact that Maverick Morgan is white.
January 3, 201313 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 3, 2013 -> 03:01 AM) I still can't get over the fact that Maverick Morgan is white. Mandatory Illinois has at least one scholi white guy.
January 3, 201313 yr Illinois just doesn't look sharp. Has nothing to do with shooting the ball either.
January 3, 201313 yr Didn't play well at all tonight, too many guys just disappeared or played awful (Paul, DJ and Griffey). Purdue just has our number lately it seems.
January 3, 201313 yr Illinois looks like s*** and they look like they need coaching. Starting to lose that optimism I had earlier in the year. Look like pure s*** tonight, can't lose to a team of this caliber on any court.
January 3, 201313 yr QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 2, 2013 -> 09:33 PM) It ain't over yet I guess, down 3 with 1:45 to play. Yep, my opinion has officially been made pliable.
January 3, 201313 yr Call a timeout while SLIDING ON YOUR KNEES? lol Laughable rebounding, nonetheless
