On the other side, do you really want to sit him after a bad night and have him dwell on it?

O's@Sox, 1:10; De Aza CF, Lillibridge 3B, Dunn 1B, Konerko DH, Rios RF, Ramirez SS, Viciedo LF, Flowers C, Escobar 2B; Floyd vs. Hammel

I like that Dunn is seeing more time in the field than he did last year. Not necessarily due to his defense but allowing Konerko to get some rest...and hopefully the playing in the field will help Dunn's hitting.

I am fine with him sitting today.

I am fine with him sitting today.

Me too. First of all, lineups are usually made a series at a time, so the decision to sit him today was made before last night's performance. Secondly, now he can get on that long plane ride feeling good about his last performance. Last thing you want is for him to go 0-4 today with a few K's and then get on a plane.

My thoughts exactly.

Hopefully they get this one in today. If not, good chance the Sox will lose an off day, and the Orioles will have to come back on May 31.

Konerko, P, DH

Hopefully Beckham will flourish in this new spot.

1-0 Orioles, RBI single for Adam Jones drives in Endy Chavez. Runners move to 2nd and 3rd on the throw. One out for Nick Johnson

RBI GO for Johnson on the first pitch, 2-0 BAL.

Great....today we got the no control Gavin

Reynolds K's to end it.

2-0 O's with the Sox coming to bat in the first.

That was a good piece of hitting by Jones

Not a good start.

Im just hoping Gavin improves by the trade deadline before we ship him out

Another fundamentals error there.

Rios didn't expect there would be a play at the plate....should have thrown to Konerko instead of the middle infield.

Could have had the double play to get out of the inning (on Johnson, who was 0 fer on the season) with only 1 run scored.

Little things. Have to get them fixed so they don't become bad habits.

Yeah, Jones is a notorious fastball hitter.

Think he got the slider and went with it to the opposite side.

Yeah Hawk...give him that pitch in the strike zone and it's gonna be a long day.

Dunn gets a two out, no one on walk.

Encouraging to see Dunn taking, and laying off, a lot of pitches. Last night was good to see.

Konerko single, 1st and 2nd now with 2 outs.

Rios with a K, but its a WP and Rios is safe at 1st. Bases loaded for Alisay.

My God Rios...RUN!

Would have been something if he were thrown out there.
