When you work your muscles very aggressively, they can sure feel similar...

I don't know every kind of soreness, but man, there's a huge difference between "overworked" and "something actually wrong" in me.

Escobar's produced just about as much as me.

And you've produced just about as much as Dewayne Wise. If Ozzie Guillen gave you playing time, Greg would love you.

Sore and pain are about the same to me. The Sox examined him. The found it to be a muscular problem. PTACT, who is a trainer of some sort, (although he might not play fantasy baseball so he might not really know what he's talking about) said an MRI wouldn't show anything more than the exam the Sox gave him. It didn't. He wanted the MRI.

i never once said i understand the medical aspects of baseball. not once. i've always maintained that Sale as a starter is more valuable than Sale as a reliever, injury potential or not. and a team should always err on the side that will potentially give them the most value. Sale could have and probably would blow out his arm whether he's a starter OR a reliever, so why not have him START until that happens, and have him start once he's back. This has been my position all along.

And you love the attention

And Escobar's produced just about as much as Wise, you just don't like him because it's only great to overplay a backup player if it's Ozzie Guillen.

1.) Yeah I can't wait until somebody brings up Juan, Wise, Dye or Pods or Oz.

2.) Is Mr. Wise's picture still on the outfield wall or did the Sox have to take it down since they ridiculously let Buehrle walk? I hope Escobar contributes something to have his face planted on teh wall someday.

When you have soreness, initially, it can feel very, very similarly...

Remember, a lot of times these guys are pushing through pain, because he doctor tells them they can't really make things any worse.

Escobar would make a fine late-game defensive replacement to give the middle infield more rest.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:09 PM)
No, cause Escobar has done nothing; Wise produced and still is in baseball, on the NY Yankees. Just as Juan Pierre is still in baseball.

Wise and Pierre are not in the same stratosphere in terms of production at the major league level. Pierre used to be a lock for 200 hits a season for quite a long time, with at least 30 stolen bases. Wise probably hasn't had that type of production for his entire career.

Escobar and Wise are very similar in that they both don't really belong at the major league level for anything more than 25th guy on the roster.

Do you see how contradictory this paragraph is?

I think there was just words that said "The catch". I don't think they made the cut in 2012.

Viciedo makes too many outs.

nope... i honestly dont

Here we go on Frenchy...

hmph, i'm noticing pink arm bands, but did MLB stop doing the "We'll auction off game used pink bats" for mothers day this year? I'm not seeing anyone using a pink bat and flipping channels to check.

If we say Escobar sucks enough, he will produce.

You first state how you know nothing about medical issues as they relate to baseball; you then tell us that Chris will blow his arm out.

Dunn and Rios have them.

he has an inverted W motion. it almost always happens.

Maybe I should try that on Viciedo.

Dunn, Rios to name a few...and Gordon on their team...

TY. Fair to say there's fewer of them this year? (Guessing not something MLB wants to make a big deal of after Komen made fools of themselves earlier this year).

No, this is what you read in a fan graphs article.

Sox leaving way too many people on base today. Morel's looked much better the last two nights.

Do you have some examples of pitchers with the inverted W motion who blew out their elbow?

After seeing his swings the last 2 days, i'm wondering how bad his back really was.

What a string of non hitters that was.
