July 27, 201213 yr Author QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 01:34 PM) From this point forward, if people are going to discuss Olympic events, please use spoiler tags if the event has NOT yet aired in the US. Thanks all! You might want to avoid Twitter during the day then...
July 27, 201213 yr Author QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 01:31 PM) This is funny no matter what you think of the summer olympics. http://deadspin.com/5928972/the-haters-gui...summer-olympics I'm still cracking up about this: The opening ceremonies also serve as a dumbed-down "Let's Go" guide for tubby American Midwesterners who are never gonna travel abroad.
July 27, 201213 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 02:01 PM) I'm still cracking up about this: Yeah, that was damn good
July 28, 201213 yr Can't believe NBC didn't broadcast the opening ceremony live. There was so much hype and so many people wanted to see it. Most just watched on streams.
July 28, 201213 yr QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 08:02 PM) Can't believe NBC didn't broadcast the opening ceremony live. There was so much hype and so many people wanted to see it. Most just watched on streams. I would have been what, 2 or 3 this afternoon?
July 28, 201213 yr The opening ceremonies were pretty lame. The overall presentation was bland and WAY too much transition time between scenes. it didnt flow at all.
July 28, 201213 yr Just started watching on the DVR, but it was awesome that they put in the factory from the cover of "Animals" with the pig and briefly played Time, they really jammed a ton in there.
July 28, 201213 yr QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:17 PM) Just started watching on the DVR, but it was awesome that they put in the factory from the cover of "Animals" with the pig and briefly played Time, they really jammed a ton in there. I thought their use of popular music thoughout the show was really great, especially the video montage and fireworks to "Eclipse" near the end. Sir Paul, however, sounded terrible.
July 28, 201213 yr QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 12:23 AM) I thought the ceremonies were boring and uneventful. Well...yeah. What do you expect?
July 28, 201213 yr Well most of it wasnt great, but they played Eclipse, to bad they couldnt have convinced them to actually perform live.
July 28, 201213 yr Ok, so if these olympic athletes are having sex non stop, in an "orgy like atmosphere", according to Hope Solo, then where are the leaked videos/pictures? Of all the beautiful women at these events, and no sex tapes? What.The.Hell. Amirite?
July 28, 201213 yr Biggest LOL of the night, James Harden in a beret. http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/06qQ41...9ci/613x459.jpg
July 28, 201213 yr QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:36 PM) I thought their use of popular music thoughout the show was really great, especially the video montage and fireworks to "Eclipse" near the end. Sir Paul, however, sounded terrible. He didn't look right. He seemed pale and skinny. Maybe age is catching up with him?
July 28, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 10:27 AM) He didn't look right. He seemed pale and skinny. Maybe age is catching up with him? old age + plastic surgery + trying to act 30 years young isnt a good combo.
July 28, 201213 yr QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 10:20 AM) old age + plastic surgery + trying to act 30 years young isnt a good combo. I watch McCartney every chance I get. This is the first time I have seen this.
July 28, 201213 yr Team USA in the horrible 'Where's Waldo?' uniforms... Team Columbia is full of a bunch of floppers Edited July 28, 201213 yr by RZZZA
July 28, 201213 yr Crazy cycling race today. Alexander Vinokourov spoiled the British party, and American Taylor Phinney missed a medal by a few inches.
