Omogrosso, who has no major-league experience, will wear uniform No. 48. #WhiteSox

Another player coming up from the worst farm system ever? We're doomed!

Bruney is experienced and could certainly hold down the long man spot.

However, I'm fine with this for now to get a look at a talented young arm.

Hypothetically if Crain hits the DL, this is the current white sox pitching staff:

Reed ®

Santiago ®

OmoGrosso ®

Jones ®

Thornton

Bruney

Septimo ®

That's 5 in the bullpen with the ®, and the rotation

Sale (not a qualified R any more but first year as a starter)

Axelrod ®

Quintana ®

Floyd

Peavy

7 rookies out of a 12 man pitching staff, and then Sale thrown in for good measure.

So many people on the team are registered trademarks!

too many Rookies in the pen, puts more pressure on the Starters to go 7 innings

The thread starter hasn't been wrong yet.

Live and learn :notworthy

Bruney on DL, Omorgrosso up. Omogrosso's fastball was clocked at 99 mph two weeks ago.

I guess we have to be fine with it. But, I never saw that coming with Bruney. He has certainly rebounded from some past shakiness and looked decent the one outing I remember him pitching in. Agree that it is nice to see a rookie with talent getting a look

The 25 man roster sure has been a wild ride lately.

I'm curious about this guy's story.

He's already 28, so he's paid his dues. That usually indicates one of two things: 1) no stuff, and/or 2) no control.

However, if he has 99mph stuff with his K/BB ratio, what the hell took so long?

Injuries, lots of injuries. I want to say 2 Tommy John surgeries and a shoulder problem not that long ago. He's just now getting back to full force with his stuff.

I feel like Omogrosso has been in our farm forever.

We should have no problem thinking of a nickname for this guy

Well, congratulations to him for making it to The Show. Hope he runs with it and never looks back.

Or...if he doesn't pan out...

Omogro-SOSO

O-EEE-O Omogrroso

Can we do that again?

Mmm, I think the obvious choice here is "OmiGROSS!o"

Seriously, holy roster transactions! I don't think we've seen this much internal shuffling in a long time.

I was thinking "GROSS!" When he does something good

and "OMG, gross" when he does something bad

Dan Johnson was more deserving

Keith Law has his story teed up when one of our prospects fails. Waiting, waiting, waiting

FWIW, Crain is now unavailable until at least Sunday, he hopes to avoid DL. per the beat guys.

How are we going to afford to have so many pitchers on a staff from the worse farm system in baseball?
