Youk has said he does not like to hit leadoff. If he's out of the equation, I think we should get Alexei to hit there. Sure, he doesn't walk, but do you really have any other viable options? Beckham's struggling, Rios is too valuable down in the lineup for you to hit him in the one hole, and Danks doesn't even have a walk yet at the ML level.
