July 29, 201213 yr We don't have a 1B equivalent of Belt (formerly Smoak).... Wilkins isn't going to get it done. They have Ackley for 2B, and he's like Beckham but in year 2, they won't think about giving up on him until next year at the earliest. Viciedo's too much, obviously.

Don't hear Saladino's name mentioned too often in these random web blogs and trade insights. It's always Jones, Reed, Viciedo, Quintana, Santiago, Mitchell, Thompson and Walker.

July 29, 201213 yr League's not bad. His K numbers are way down from last year and his walks are up, but he's kept the ball in the park. I still don't see the need for yet another right handed reliever though. I don't see the Sox sending down Santiago and Septimo. Maybe one, but not both.
