Tigers aren't done against the Yankees. 8-6 in the 7th....

Andy Dirks looks like Rod Carew at the plate this year.

The path to the division has been to beat your division, beat up on the weak teams including the NL, and playing 500 against the good teams. This team can play well against good competition and then plays down to the bad teams. This has been part of an organizational flaw that repeats itself. Sure a bad team can have a good series. We have lost to this team a bit too much over the years for this to be a fluke.

8-7...

Why did they pull CC? Amazing how much confidence the Tigers are playing with these days.

8-7 Yankees now.

We really need to start hitting against Guthrie.

I'm gonna watch that game instead if this snooze fest.

Big out there for Q. He's pitched well enough to win tonight.

Nice job again Jose.

Really ought to have bullpen start te 7th, he was really wearing down there.

Yankees hold onto the lead, but I don't see it lasting for very long with the way the Tigers seem to be rolling...

Mariano for two?

Yep, nice start for him coming off of 8 days off.

Um.....

Yeah the Tigers have that esprit d'corps now ever since that walk off 5 runs they scored against the Indians. It's very bad news for us.

:) It was a joke

Wasn't quite sure...

Another just sensational at bat for our DH. Hopefully this is his last game on the roster.

Well they got lucky. They are facing he Yanks. Meanwhile we have to contain this hornets nest of a pitching staff that the Royals are throwing out there. Velocity, plus pitches, and hitting the edge of the cap. I don't know who is giving this Guthrie fella this high era.

God our offense sucks.

Beautiful swing by Beckham there. Time for Dunn to square up one of those fastballs.

I love when Gordon hits the ball.

Alright Adam, we need you here badly.

Invisible bat, shades of '11

Need you Dunn!

Thankfully we have him batting there instead of AJ or Rios (when healthy). I love the point someone made recently about 2005 and moving Dye into the 3rd spot.

Guess its not the same as hitting off a tee.

NYY 9-7 now.
