Good at bat by Escobar. Royals working Sale over.

They've seen him so much this year, they don't seem to be fooled by anything.

That was the best slider he's thrown all day. 2 now.

All of our pitchers have been too concerned with trying to miss bats lately. They're overthrowing and trying to be too fine.

He was out by a f***ing mile!

Butler continues to own Chris Sale

Horse s*** call.

60+ pitches already.

tie game...close play at the plate.

Butler comes through again vs. the Sox.

What new?

Sale entered 8-2, 1.74 ERA at home this year. Hasn't give up more than 3 runs at home all season.

Probably was out at home...Royals' crew isn't even convinced that he was safe. Had another strike call against Escobar that missed by an inch.

Rios took 1 1/2 steps before he threw that ball. Not sure why...but it cost them.

SIGH.

We're only in first place in September. Give people a break.

Beautiful day, Sale is pitching, Sox are in first and tickets are reasonable.

f***ing add instant replay. Absurd that calls that bad are allowed to stand these days.

Got to get out of this inning with the score tied.

Mark Parent ejected

This home plate ump is f***ing blind. He called a totally fair ball foul and then Cain was out by an entire foot.

The good news is that this is the best stuff Sale's had in a while. The bad news is that his command is off.

he was right there, completely unacceptable

It's the Angel Hernandez crew...they always suck

Very questionable ball/strike call there against Escobar which caused a 10 pitch AB and then the call at the plate.

Sale at 66 pitches. Will be lucky to get through 5.

Which exposes the Sox bullpen while Chen cruises through 7 and 8 and they can save their 2-3 best relievers.

The play wasn't even close. How would you know? Aren't you blacked out?

The Pena DP ball that he his before the "real" one? It was off his foot.

Growing tired of Sox being on the short end of 75% of close calls.

From the Royals crew watching it over and over again 3 times and thinking he probably was out.

Just missed a homer, then almost the victim of Gordon's great throwing arm there.

3/21 now with a homer against Chen for Beckham, almost 2 homers.

13-69 with RISP, failed to advance the runner as well.

IDK how the home plate umpire can overrule the 1B umpire on a ball that went past the bag.

He was out by a lot. You can tell in real-time.

Wow, I'm surprised Gordon didn't hit that one out.

Chen is throwing a lot of pitches too.
