There's no way I wouldn't wear those, except for that ridiculous price tag.

They could have just started a tribute thread instead...

Looks pretty cool. I've been wanting to get into some woodworking myself lately.

The Lumbershack

The slabs themselves were pretty reasonable...the shipping was kind of harsh, but it was like 100 pounds of wood...the legs I had fabricated by a guy in Ontario, CA that I found on ebay

Ha, that's why I didn't change. I felt like the activist in me needed to say it, and then I just posted some Macklemore. Way easier.

I had a friend who said "if you have a plus sign or an x in your profile pic, I am going to unfriend you" to which I said "it's a good thing Switzerland isn't playing soccer right now"

What am I supposed to be protesting, I didnt get the memo.

Looks like a cool site, may have to check that out again down the road when I actually have a somewhat decent sized apartment/condo.

Good timing, always want to make noise after the decision has been made.

Wow, those are pretty neat. I especially like the one with the split in the end.

A photographic journey through Montana’s vanished towns

Their stories, past and present, offered an unusual perspective on the fragility of place in the rural West. These towns were the smallest of the small -- one family, one year-round resident, one schoolhouse or one grain elevator. Ironically, I discovered that some towns that had vanished from the map more than a decade ago had as much life in them as some that remained.

The next time you itch for adventure, pull out an old map and compare it to a new map. Look for towns in your state that have seemingly disappeared. Hit the gravel roads in search of homestead shacks, abandoned post offices, grain elevators, schoolhouses and stories of places that used to be.

oral arguments on prop 8 were yesterday, doma was today.

I love this kind of stuff and could honestly spend a good week or two just ghost town hopping. There's something sort of spooky yet all together fascinating about places like that to me.

I have cruised through that site quite a bit. There are still remnants of most of those towns, but very little. The comments for Tagus, ND is especially entertaining.

Yeah I think prop 8 was just as important of a ruling. Because DOMA (in my opinion) is going to be decided based on states right, just basically saying "Fed doesnt give out marriage licenses, fed has no ability to regulate marriage, its up to the states."

So, my shoulder popped in and out of place two days ago and still hurts like hell.

Any tips on making it feel less like hell?

Gonna go out on a limb and say go get it checked out. You don't to have torn anything.

Curious, why is it so important to observe the birth of Jesus on the same exact day every year but Easter always falls on a different day? #lame #no_day_off_from_work

I'm not religious but guessing it has to do with it happening on a Sunday more than anything?
