December 10, 201312 yr QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 02:10 PM) Because you still have to be accurate and you can shoot something 400+ yards out. Real Men use giant blow guns with poison-tipped darts! http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/human-pl...h-blowpipes.htm
December 10, 201312 yr Author So my next door neighbor, who has told me previously that she is out of work due to disability, has a couple different people who visit her 2-3 times a week, each time for no more than 10 minutes . . .
December 10, 201312 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 12:03 PM) I Thought I Had Seen Everything… Then I Went Back To The 1930s And Saw This. That gun with the camera is interesting. It would be nice to see something like that be mandatory on guns, would probably help solve a lot of problems.

No more than 10 minutes? Apparently she is very good at what she does

December 10, 201312 yr QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 04:47 PM) The cold cut combo doesn’t and has never had salami on it. It has turkey salami, but for sure that doesnt count.
December 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) The cold cut combo at Subway has really fallen off, never again getting that thing. This is pretty much the only sub ive ordered from Subway in approximately 25 years. I know Im too good for it now, but every once in a while I get one.

December 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 08:38 AM) Subway is gross. Potbelly or Jimmy Johns is 1000 times better. F me. Jimmy Johns. Gargantuan, no onion, add bacon, every time.
December 11, 201312 yr I love a toasted Spicy Italian from subway with giardinera, but if I had to choose i would go to Jimmy Johns every day and twice on sunday for the Italian night club
December 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 08:38 AM) Subway is gross. Potbelly or Jimmy Johns is 1000 times better. Its (jimmy johns) also a 1000 times worse for you. Subway nails it if you want to have a healthy lunch. Edited December 11, 201312 yr by RockRaines
December 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 09:26 AM) I actually like Jersey Mikes. One right by my new place that I frequent. me too, love the fresh cut deli meats. The one I used to go to in DG closed but I found a fantastic middle eastern place right by.

December 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 09:29 AM) Very solid place. Honestly give me a real f'ing deli as opposed to any of that garbage. Seems to be a dying industry for some reason. I am not sure why the jewish deli kind of died away in chicago as well. IN the west loop I had alot of choices for italian delis, but I suspect even those are being forced out at some point. Its depressing. Here in Oak Park we only have Alpine, which is awesome, but I wouldnt mind another real deli.
December 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 08:35 AM) Buffalo Chicken for me at Subway and I absolutely love it.

But Subway still sucks, at least the one closest to my office. If you get the bread toasted it's like eating stale bread. Half the veggies aren't quite ripe. And I swear I end up s***ting my brains out 4-5 hours after eating there, which makes me question how sanitary the place is. +1 on the regular old style deli's. There are a few in the west loop, but they're pricey and "commercial." Mom and pop shops just can't compete with the pricing of the larger chains unfortunately. I have 2 new Mediterranean Chipotle clones around my building that opened within the last year and a half (Nesh! and Mezza, both excellent, along with Roti). I've been hitting up those more than the sandwich shops.

I've been lost since that place closed down.
