The NCAA is really turning into a joke. They investigate Cam Newton, find nothing, and then all this comes out, which happened at the same time as the Cam Newton stuff... Amazing.

NCAA is a joke............play favorites everytime. Newton and his old man were dirty and NCAA turned a blind eye to the great SEC.

In case you were wondering how rare it is to go 12-0, we've won more conference titles in the last 10 years than gone undefeated all time.

It was more to have something to celebrate going undefeated, division title gave them a way to do it within NCAA rules. People dont understand how rare it was to go through the season without a loss (given they didnt have a bowl game). Illinois has only done it 3 times.

Anything good is rare in Illinois football history, if anything it diminishes the hardship to go undefeated.

UCONN is going through a university rebrand and the new jerseys are really nice for all their sports. Well, except the football helmet. This is rough.

The also get gold pants charms for winning one game against Michigan.

 

They had to motivate a team to play hard and dedicate themselves without a bowl game or conference title game to go to, and they responded by having the 6th undefeated untied team in the school's history. I completely understand why they wanted to give them a reward. Luckily the "division title" game them the ways to do it.

 

Its too bad for those kids there were bad apples and a dumbass Gene Smith to ruin their bowl chances last year. He REALLY needed to send them to the Gator Bowl I guess.

It's kind of funny. UConn fans generally dislike the new helmets and it's other people who generally like them. I wonder how Oregon fans feel?

I think the UCONN helmets looks dumb.
