Most boring & uneventful offseason you can recall?

Last year's offseason was boring. Buehrle left, traded Quentin for a bust.......no buzz at all.

2004. The biggest move the Sox made was trading Aaron Miles for Juan Uribe.

Since the Sox usually don't sign other teams' major free agents (Dunn was the first free agent from another team they signed for more than $20 million since Albert Belle) trades or minor free agent signings are their buzz. Most of their major trades seem to occur in season. Really, big offseason buzz is not very common with the White Sox.

Yeah, I was going to ask people about their history lessons, but it was last freaking year.

Gonna go back into the memory banks for this one: '11-'12 offseason

Life under Hahn

More like life post-Williams.

Bad farm system. No money to play with.

And gave one of the most epic trade meltdowns in Soxtalk history.

Because Aaron Miles was God's gift to baseball.

Pretty sure I was probably pissed about it too.

At least last year we hired a new manager...there was some excitement about that...

What was the general reaction to Robin's appointment like on here?

Originally, pretty much WTF?

2013- Signed Keppinger, Re-signed Peavy, Took Floyds option. (No major trades). Yea it has been pretty dull. However, the pitching youth gives me hope.

My biggest concerns are Flowers every day and the lack of left handed offensive production. I am pretty excited to see if Viciedo continues to improve with his bat and to see if Keppingers higher OBP can help balance the lineup out.

I'm not shocked to hear that.

I was driving in the car with sports radio on when they made the announcement, I had to double check if it was April Fools Day. It was so out of nowhere, definitely a major WTF.

Oh I LOST it for the Robin hiring. Haha...

I'm glad now, and last year was great (cept that last part) but it still seems Robin isn't 100% committed haha, and i'll always kinda think that.

What makes you think he isn't 100% committed?

We did?

We did?

Castro was definitely a bust when we acquired him. Former top prospect who got crushed when he reached AAa.

I misinterpreted it, if that's what he meant.
