For me it’s two things, they browbeat the listeners with “we already talked about this” and there is a lot of out of town stupid.  Midday is a rudderless ship right now.

I hope some listeners left and their ratings suffered when Bernstein was canned. I listen to podcasts and select Score segments once in a blue moon if they are interesting. The midday show is kind of lame.

Bernstein was really rough at the end. He sounds so much better again, which may be second wind PLUS he had really bad partner matches.

I think the partner match was the hardest thing.  Nobody is Terry, and Bernstein doesn’t defer to many people like he deferred to Terry.  So, if something happened he didn’t like, you had to deal with Bernsteins attitude whereas Terry would basically tell him to stop pouting and let’s go

that's true, I thought maybe the problem was he was the bigger 'levity'/goof in the pairings, and he just needed a bigger goof. But probably is more the deference/respect he had for Boers. Not sure who would have that pull since dan's kinda the old man now.

Karl Ravech is expected to be laid off by ESPN after more than 30 years at the network, sources told Front Office Sports.

An ESPN spokesperson declined to comment.

The crazy part is they (USA Today) had a separate article accusung her of skipping WNBA All Star weekend events to get her hair done inIowa when she was doing an even for her charitable foundation.

Also had time to visit Obama Library, Wilson Basketball flagship store in Chicago for an event as well as McCormick Place for 30 min player interviews.

There are REAL fans who followed her since her and Paige Bueckers were freshman...and then the rabid Indiana and MAGA crowd that's consistentky tried to hijack her to their side in order to score political points, and are currently attempting to do the same with Cunningham.

Like MJ's "Republicans buy sneakers too" comment...Clark has never once taken a side.

Unless you call being friends with Taylor Swift and generically supporting "we vote/get out the vote efforts," which shouldn't be inherently partisan in a democracy.

Difference with Cunningham is she's totally leaned into the right wing grift. Clark just plays ball. Won't say there isn't some racial aspect to the support she receives because there definitely is (among people who don't even watch wnba or women's sports at all), but it's in such bad taste to make a comparison to Emmett Till's murder. Two weeks late to this story lol.

That was Nancy Armour at USA Today...the anti Christine Brennan.

Hopefully she at least watched the Till movie, but doubt she has ever travelled to rural Mississippi or Louisiana.

Cunningham is simply out to boost her brand and set up her post WNBA career.

That said, the original comments Sophie made were something that's non-controversial to roughly 85% of Americans.

(Although I don't personally believe that many rural Missourians don't at least lean center right on most issues.)

CoCo Gauff made a statement when asked on that matter that was a whole lot savvier, less paranoid and hate-fueled. Ostensibly because she has a brain (and is also much, much better at her respective sport; who cares what a basketball role player thinks). Cunningham's remark about "protecting girls" is simply nonsensical, and particularly ironic because she hangs out with that UFC wife beater. .001% of NCAA athletes are trans women, it's a fake fuckin issue dominating the media and electoral cycle rather than wage stagnation and increased cost of living because the electorate is a bunch of rubes.
