Does anyone really buy his notion that the Sox are great talent evaluators/developers?

NO............... Hawk makes himself look foolish.

How long has it been since the Sox drafted someone who they developed and that player was a solid/above average offensive player for them? Thomas and Ventura?

the real hector shows up

Is it me or does Danks play a very deep CF?

maybe, but wouldn't they be positioning him from the dugout?

well, if they can get Moore's pitch count up a bit more we might have 2 innings to come back.

pops up ball 4. what an idiot.

f*** this

Wow, ball is flying out of the park to right field this series.

Santiago screwball is MIA tonight.

Sox have to have one of the longest droughts in that department in baseball and Hawk spewing nonsense.

3 innings, 9 hits, 3 runs.

FWIW, Hector's screwball averages about 76mph. It is the pitch that fangraphs categorizes as a split-finger. Hector has talked on the radio about how he uses his changeup out of the bullpen because that's the offspeed pitch that he can find the release point for in a short time. Since he has become a reliever, it has been a pitch he uses about 5-8% of the time. He uses his changeup a lot and it isn't a real good pitch.

Be nice for the fans to see more than 1 hit tonight.

Pretty much only Durham, Crede and Rowand....

Beckham for 4 months in 2009.

Fields at the end of 2007.

The terrible trio of lefties off the bench are producing at about NL pitcher level. Please Hahn, do something to help this roster out.

yay

Hawk soundboard tonight. Same old sh...

FWIW, the defensive positioning tonight has been way off.

Everywhere Gillaspie is playing, the ball is going the opposite way...goes toward the line, the ball goes to the hole between 3B/SS. Plays off the line, the ball goes over the bag.

Just one of those nights. Santiago's never been able to get into a rhythm...not unlike our offense against Moore.

The best thing to do would be to pick one and play that person consistently. Then, send Blake Tekotte back to AAA and pick any right handed OFer you can fathomably play in an MLB game and start him against LH SP

We're now on to player #30 on the roster, and that's with 2 guys day to day as well.

The best way to help this bench would be to hire Jesus and have him wave some hands over people.

Hit a HR.
