That was just a floater over the plate

Wow what pathetic pitch selection. You know the guy is trying to pull it and you throw him a curve? Ventura left Axelrod in two batters too long, but with this offense it probably doesn't matter. Please make some changes

A wasted performance. What a lost opportunity this week.

Still can't fault Dylan tonight. You take tonight's start 100 times out of 100. Unfortunately our offense

DYLAN you Son of a b****

I feel soooo bad for Dylan. You don't ask your 5th starter to go out there and pitch 7.0 shutout innings but he did.

Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see we don't win unless we hit home runs and we're not hitting that many home runs. This lineup wouldn't scare a 40-year-old has been pitcher.

Too bad that double would have been for us if we made the correct Sergio Santos trade...lol.

If Thornton came in to start this inning and they scored, Ventura would have been roasted.

True, but that's because I despise Thornton.

Against a pretty good offensive club, too.

And we would just say it doesn't/didn't matter because you can't win if you don't score, lol.

Nah, leaving Axelrod in was correct. Even if the bullpen came in and crapped the game away the offense would still be to blame.

Now the ump isnt calling strikes

f*** off Thornton

I'vs got to be honest, I don't like bringing in relievers with a runner in scoring position and no outs, so I was fine with the decision.

Also, Matt Thornton is just a total coward and should not be used in high leverage situations if possible.

At least the Tigers are making it easier for us to PRETEND we're still in the race...

And those pesky Astros are beating the Angels in SoCal again.

Royals back to reality after comeback win over the Cardinals.

I'm not going to use the word coward, but ever since 2009, I've worried about Thornton in these situations.

It will be nice to have a fresh start and maybe someone to have more confidence in for 2014.

That will be a 12-2 streak for the A's if they win tonight. Bad timing, playing the Cubs off the Sunday comeback against Cincy...and now the A's. Then again, we at least swept the Marlins and had SOME momentum finally getting back to .500 for the first time in weeks.

Pitching to him with open base?

Whatever the hell Flowers did there was terrible

Game, set and match.

Back to the tough times in Oakland. We're not at the low point of 6 games under, but it feels like a low point.

HORRIBLE throw by DeAza.

We just can't have either DeAza or Viciedo in the outfield, lol.

And they were all so good last year until DeAza started having problems in CF in the 2nd half last year.

This is just laughable. Officially time to do something, anything else.

f*** you very much White Sox offense & bullpen!

I bet the lineup is the exact same tomorrow

Nothing sucks more than wasting not good, but great pitching. I know it's Oakland, and I know it's Axe, but, again, we'd have been happy with the same start from Sale or anyone else.
