Not sold on Tim Anderson personally.

He's got big upside and would be an impact position player that would stick at SS.

I've read that he might have to move to 2B. Or you could throw him in CF to see what happens. Haven't researched him as much as others though.

Well they went with Anderson...Tim Anderson. I'm not surprised. Bit of a reach but I like the fact they are going for a shortstop early.

There we go

I like him!

WOW! Holy Crap Hahn gambles! I like it!

Scouting Grades* (present/future): Hit: 3/5 | Power: 3/4 | Run: 6/6 | Arm: 5/5 | Field: 4/5 | Overall: 3/5

Teams who like premium athletes currently playing premium positions will certainly give Anderson a long look and his stock was rising quickly as the Draft approached.

His best tool is his speed and he has plenty of it as a guy who should be a basestealing threat in the future. He makes solid contact, putting the ball in play and letting his legs work for him, even showing some power to the pull side on occasion. He has shown some difficulty hitting the breaking ball.

Whether he can stay at shortstop remains to be seen, though he has decent range and a serviceable arm. But teams won't hesitate to draft him and then move him, a la Billy Hamilton, down the road.

Actually met Tim Anderson today. Great kid, family was super excited.

He can stick at SS at the next level.

Great pick.

Yep

if it doesn't work out, he can play for the Bulls.

Not my favorite player on the board, but I'm just a hobbyist. The speed is tantalizing though. Also will be nice to have a position prospect that likely won't have massive strikeout issues.
