51 hours. Sox are getting Kolek.

Don't curse us like that. Positive thoughts.

If we are picking between Rodon/Kolek I'll be on the edge of my seat for sure.

Ya that'll be pretty intense and exciting

I hope there is some suspense. Nothing leaked on Twitter, or anything like that.

If they pass on Kolek for Nola or somebody, I'll understand it, but it's also potentially a killer in the long run with the Cubs and Twins right behind us.

Kolek could also be a bust, but sometimes you have to let the baseball gods take care of it. Take the kid, and hope.

I'll stay off Twitter Thursday. I'll just be on here periodically.

If those are Law's words, well, I have backed Law a lot, but holy s***, way to go out on a limb.

Well, it is kind of shocking to hear them "maybe" on Rodon and Nola, the top two college arms, and instead on two high school pitchers. Definitely not your usual White Sox draft board the past ten years.

That's like DVRing the Sox game and then watching Baseball Tonight.

Lol I don't want it spoiled if possible. I DVR most Sox games because of work

So is Houston down to Aiken or Rodon only?

There are also rumors of them getting a deal with Gordon on an underslot deal. But pretty much down to those three. Its possible, though not probable that the first two players off the board are position players followed by the big 3 pitching prospects.

1. Gordon

2. Jackson

3. Aiken/Kolek

4. Rodon

5. Kolek/Aiken

That as his "analysis" of the pick. Basically saying the Sox are taking pitching.

That has to be the dream scenario for the White Sox.

maybe it was posted already, but saw this video today of kolek

Just say no to Kolek (if Rodon and/or Aiken are there).

It just scares me how all the talk, all the time, is about his big fastball. Makes me think he is going to blow his arm out trying to hit 100+ every time. I wonder if a team grabs him if they will tell him they want him to sit at 95-96 instead, and just use the 100 laser if he really needs it. 100+ for a reliever is fine, but for a starter that worries me.

He is extremely mature with a terrific work ethic. Very nice to see.

Especially since we just saw what happend with Ventura

Just saw the tweets about Jackson and the Marlins.

Absolutely boner time if that happens.

And for the Cubs and Twins as well.

Think about the way Verlander has learned how to pitch if you need an example of where it works. He still has the big fastball but doesn't break it out unless he's in trouble. Take a look at that 2013 velocity chart; he's got games where he has >10 mph spread in his fastball. That's ridiculous.

Who are the tweets from? I haven't seen anything.

If Jackson and the Marlins is true then Houston has already cut a deal, but with whom? Rodon, Aiken, Kolek?

There's also legitimate concern that Verlander is breaking/has broken down.

I think I'd be content if we drafted this kid out of high school and got 10 years in the bigs like what Verlander has given th em.

I'm obviously in absolute full agreement there.

That's actually exactly who I was going to bring up, but we haven't heard Kolek having the kind of secondary stuff that Verlander has. That's why Jonathan Broxton was kind of the comp I've always had in mind for Kolek.

Way too much of a pipedream with Aiken/Kolek/Rodon all there when the Sox pick. LOL if that happens & they take Nola, they'll all be hunted down and shot.
