July 13, 201312 yr Anybody, that is complaining about this deal, what did you expect? Everyone wanted Thornton out of here and has been on the downside of his career as of late. Getting Boston's 11th rated prospect according to mlb.com is pretty good value. He's 22 in AA, has very high offensive potential while his defense is a work in progress. I like it.

Would rather keep Thompson in CF, that's where he projects to have the most value at the major league level, and Walker's more of a corner guy (RF/LF). You have to defer to the idea of Thompson at the moment being the better prospect, too. It is ironic after drafting four toolsy outfielders that we needed yet another. WHO exactly made this trade?
