Rienzo's motion reminds me a whole lot of Cliff Lee.

Tigers go up 5-1 with Alex Avila GS against the Nationals.

Pressure shifts back to the Indians to hold serve.

Interesting move by Ventura to leave Rienzo out there exposed to possibly taking a loss...sign of the times with our depleted/soon to be traded bullpen (Lindstrom).

Considering the Hirschbeck/Ramirez error, Andre has done a super job and deserves to have a much better overall result than clinging to a 4-3 lead.

Hell of a start by Rienzo.

I like him!

You can see where he can be rough around the edges, but you can also see why he's been so dominant lately. Looks like a MLB starter to me.

Did Hawk just there's a thing as a description to that ground ball LMAO

It's just the sign of times for Ventura in general, though you've missed out on a couple weeks.

Incredible start for Rienzo. I never would have thought he could go 7 innings vs this team and not throw 150 pitches.

Nice to have ANOTHER option to go along with Johnson for the rotation in 2014.

This also gives the White Sox some additional leverage SHOULD they actually decide to hold onto Peavy.

1989....last time the White Sox were 24 games under .500 (were they to somehow lose)

That statistic alone summarizes the season, as well as the relative success of the KW/Guillen years.

Rios is either really hurt by that foul ball (LOL) or he was just traded. Would be par for the course with this season with what has happened with Floyd and Crain.

I never would have thought he could give up 3 runs and still have a chance for a win.

If a Peavy trade happens I wonder if Rienzo stays in the rotation, or is this a one time start?

Rios with apparent foot injury

Why not?

And give Axe a try-out for short relief.

Who's our 8th inning guy these days?

Oh great, Rios leaving the game with a foot injury after a foul ball.

Great time to get hurt Alex...great time. This season sucks.

That could easily be a broken foot.

Once again.....

Your 2013 White Sox.

No luck.

Off his shin

Alex Rios, White Sox for life.

Rios out of the game with an injury.

Sigh.

Off his shin

Yup. Both foul balls off the shin. Not terribly concerned, but what great timing!

Dont want to risk injury then dont play him

Rich Hill to face Dunn.

Interesting that Dunn and DeAza actually looked okay against a crafty lefty in Kazmir (for a change).

This better set the record for quickest press release saying he's day-to-day and X-Rays were negative

Beat writers and I think that was the top of his foot
