DeAza steals 3rd since KC shifting on 3-1 pitch. Dunn swings through pitch on inner half. Dunn K's on another swing and miss on similiar pitch.

Unfortunately with a ball hit that deep and a complete miss of the glove 90% of official scorers would call that a hit. But I think they just changed it to an error.

I don't really consider Gillaspie to be a future cog on this team. If he does well, fine, but an 0 for 5 with 5 Ks wouldn't really affect me any.

He's still a rook and said around the end of June he was just starting to get it at this level which is funny when you consider he hit best when he didn't get it. Still if the rest of the Sox had his eye and approach our OBP would be much better.

His swing in that last AB was all arms. He wasn't digging in on any pitch, he had a defensive swing.
