The score is a huge bunch of pessimistic Bears fans, and this is coming from a fan of the Score. The callers are even worse

I mean more so the talking heads.. A lot of the fans are annoying as well.

I saw you guys had a discussion on this, but B-R has these numbers widely available under team batting splits.

Sox #3 hitters have hit in to 17 DPs. That's actually fewer than #2 hitters, who have hit into 20 DPs. And #5 hitters have hit into 19 DPs.

It may be up lately, but Dunn was hitting 3rd for a large portion of the year and, slow as he is, he just does not ground into many double plays due to the TTO threat he is. Consider this: Adam Dunn has hit into fewer double plays this year (2) than Avisail Garcia has with the White Sox (3).

Dunn only has 8 at bats in the 3 hole all season.

Quintana forgetting how to throw strike.

That was a shaky inning but Q got out of it and didn't allow any runs. 33 pitches with a single and two walks in the inning. Last batter was 9 pitches and got him swinging on a 3-2 count

New Q gets out of it, but looks like we will be seeing Santiago tonight.

Would be nice to see the Sox bump Anibal off getting any Cy Young consideration tonight. Probably has too few innings anyway, but he is ahead of Sale in a few categories otherwise.

Sale has to lead both leagues in getting the shaft by his team.

Lets see a double steal here. Paulie reeks of a DP right now.

If the Sox or Cubs had the legacy of the Yankees, Chicago would still be a Bears or Bulls town.

No double steal, and right on cue, the Paulie DP....

Hawk: I think with a couple of moves this off season we can compete next year.

Stone: Do you think Trout and Cabrera are available\?

5 minute conversation making excuses for Gillaspie's defense going on.

Miami is up 4-1 and they got the potential ROY on the mound. I am thinking we could be 3.5 GB after tonight.

Semien with a great swing, just right at their LF

Man Semien has a pretty right handed swing.

Leury with a great game tonight. Semien has to lay off those low offspeed pitches.

Miami won. And I either did my math wrong earlier, or mlb.com has only partially updated their standings, but Sox may actually be 3 GB after tonight if Detroit pulls this one out.

Semien showing the difference in control between MLB and minor league pitchers

Dunn has really been scuffling lately

Leury > all

I don't seem to mind as much when the pen comes in and blows it, not as long as a young starter has a good outing.

J Danks securing his spot for next year.

it's really shocking how poor these young Sox hitters are . I havent seen so many swings and misses on down and away breaking pitches that miss the strike zone by a foot.

He's far from ready. All that good batting eye stuff went right out the window when facing ML pitchers with ungodly breaking pitches.

The Sox desperately need to get some more left-handed bats into the organization. It's one of the biggest reasons they shouldn't trade De Aza.
