Over/Under on the date of the first "Fire Steverson" thread?

Usually there is a little time before that starts. I'll say game 2 next season.

Spring training, if Abreu/Viciedo/Garcia/Dunn are all struggling.

If the offense struggles, which I'm sure it will, we'll see someone post in June or July "what's the point of hiring this guy if the offense doesn't improve? FIRE STEVERSON!" And then said person will be jumped on and ridiculed mercilessly

The org wants high OBP, yet we fill the roster with free swingers.

Rick is trying to change that. Abreu is a step in the right direction.

Do we really know that?

We don't know if he'll turn out to be the right step, but from his stats, we can be fairly confident in saying it's an ATTEMPT in the right direction.

Nonsense. All Cubans are free swingers!

Steverson should bring Beckham in for a week and start making the necessary changes, the final changes, to his stance/approach. If we are going to keep Beckham, this is his last chance at becoming a productive hitter in a Sox uniform. If Beckham doesn't want to work with him ... that's a bad sign.

I don't think "Changing his approach and stance" for Beckham is the problem any more.

That's the last thing they need to do.

He's not Tiger Woods (cue jokes).

Hopefully Hahn realizes that and dumps him to the Blue Jays.

If someone would give up anything of use for him, absolutely (that includes borderline relievers or backups at this point).

Manto hired as Orioles minor league hitting coordinator.
