No way they'd take Dunn, but give them Viciedo and call it an offseason. I don't think the Sox would need to do anything else.

A lot would have to depend on what any team who trades for him think his mental bounce-back will be. I definitely believe that PEDs help, but I also think that help is limited, so I expect him to have the potential to be a productive player still, especially if a sizeable chunk of the 113 is absorbed by the Brewers.

 

However, he is going to have a ton of spotlight on him from ST day one. He hasn't shown the greatest track record of dealing with things, so that is a major gamble.

With Braun, he's a despicable human being. The Brewers gave him his money. They can keep him.

He's a douchebag that handled a stressful situation terribly. Whatever. Doesn't change that fact that his lowest OPS+ ever was 131. If the Brew Crew throw in a bunch of cash and the teams stash it for the end of the deal he is going to make someone very happy. You don't get superstars at a discount for no reason and yes I understand he'll probably have a dip in production.
