The GM seminar use to be the greatest thing ever. Packed room and it was always front page news the next day. Doubt that anymore

There were a lot of marquee signings as well as the frank photo session. I missed out because I wanted a pic of my kid with frank.

Hawk and wimpy were the tv guys during franks rise. And it sounds like frank loved their broadcasts.

Yes, Stone is still the main guy. He was introed during the main event.

and Hahn had to battle all of that? Yegh.

Every other question was either ripping Dunn or Ventura.

Dunn is frustrating as hell to watch, but given our lack of offense and left-handed bats, he definitely has value to us against RHP regardless of what the common Sox fan may think.

 

That said, I don't want to see him in a White Sox uniform after 2014 under any circumstance.

Is it really that hard to understand why resigning an older, expensive catcher on a rebuilding team is not the best idea?

'frustrating to watch' actually is not something that really matters. at all.

 

Steve Trachsel was frustrating to watch but if he had a good year for the team you root for -- then yr fine w/ that. As a fan you should want a good year. Plain and simple. This was the OPS leader so if the frustrations begin and end with him then obviously the fandom has turned a blind eye to all the other guys on this roster that were underperforming. Spread blame equally, and (specifically to the people with a mic today) show some class in doing it.

Yeah, unfortunately I was really disappointed. I'm sure I'll enjoy Lauman and Bell better.

 

 

but you can blame them for asking Robin about his credibility and for booing Dunn. I don't know I just prefer professional discourse instead of the meathead talk.

Exactly correct about the 10am seminar. The guy that asked Robin if he had a pulse was out of line, and Hahn's response pretty much was perfect.

I thought the point of making this year's team better was a bad thing.

I see you're now declaring your idea of adding a pitcher this year to be a mistake.
