I am watching Fox 1 sports . Isn't that where Frank Thomas was hired as an analyst? Right now Royce Clayton is the analyst. Weren't there rumors about Frank, Royce and some woman when the Choice played in Chicago?

I should have waited a day, because now there are only 3 AL teams with a positive run differential.

Tigers +22

A's +50

Angels +39

---

But remember, the AL East is the only division that matters because they're so much better than any other division.

Braves have activated Gavin Floyd and will start on Tuesday. Good for him.

53 weeks between starts.

The @Reds place OF Jay Bruce on 15-day DL (torn meniscus in left knee); select contract of OF Roger Bernadina from Triple-A Louisville.

Marcus Stroman called to the big leagues. I love that guy, I wanted us to draft him so badly

Tulo thinks he's prime Barry Bonds.

Gregory Polanco turns down 7 years 25 million plus 3 option years.

Interesting since he hasn't played a game yet. Those option years must have been no good. Pirates then decided to not ca him up.

Jeff Passan's attack on the Super 2/Gregory Polanco/low-balling players by giving them an opportunity to play right away if they'll accept a below-market deal situation

Tanget: I watched him in spring training this year on mlb.tv a lot -- this kid is an absolute MONSTER. Like holy s***. He's huge and just oozes tools.

That's a more lucrative contract than the Astros offered George Springer. They offered 7/$13, which is an absolute joke.

Buehrle, 6-1, 1.91

At this point last year he was 1-2 with a 7.02 ERA. He didn't get his 6th win until July 25 and still ended up with 12 wins. It would be awesome to see him have a 18-20 win season. He needs a couple of those type seasons if he wants to have any chance at 300 wins. He's now just 8 wins away from 200 and 70.1 IP away from 3000.

Rockies non-pitchers are hitting .319. They average 1.35 more runs per game than the next best NL team.

The home/road splits are there, but they're great everywhere.

How the hell do you lose after being up by 16 runs? Jesus.

That's hard to do in slow pitch softball, let alone professional baseball.

Yankees will retire Joe Torre's number 6 on August 23, before a game with the White Sox.

Jeter's number 2 won't be far behind and then 11 will be the lowest number any Yankee can wear.
