May 3, 201411 yr I am watching Fox 1 sports . Isn't that where Frank Thomas was hired as an analyst? Right now Royce Clayton is the analyst. Weren't there rumors about Frank, Royce and some woman when the Choice played in Chicago? Edited May 3, 201411 yr by Dick Allen
May 4, 201411 yr I should have waited a day, because now there are only 3 AL teams with a positive run differential. Tigers +22 A's +50 Angels +39 --- But remember, the AL East is the only division that matters because they're so much better than any other division. Edited May 4, 201411 yr by flavum
May 4, 201411 yr Buehrle might be a hot name at the trade deadline. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/...trade-deadline/ There's no such thing as a bad one-year deal...plus two months and the postseason.

Disagree, that's still a bad one year plus two month contract. Especially when his ERA returns to the norm.

May 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 6, 2014 -> 10:23 PM) Tulo thinks he's prime Barry Bonds. It's like Coors Field of the 90s again Edited May 7, 201411 yr by LittleHurt05
May 7, 201411 yr Gregory Polanco turns down 7 years 25 million plus 3 option years. Interesting since he hasn't played a game yet. Those option years must have been no good. Pirates then decided to not ca him up.

Like holy s***. He's huge and just oozes tools.
May 7, 201411 yr That's a more lucrative contract than the Astros offered George Springer. They offered 7/$13, which is an absolute joke.
May 8, 201411 yr QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2014 -> 08:39 PM) Buehrle, 6-1, 1.91 At this point last year he was 1-2 with a 7.02 ERA. He didn't get his 6th win until July 25 and still ended up with 12 wins. It would be awesome to see him have a 18-20 win season. He needs a couple of those type seasons if he wants to have any chance at 300 wins. He's now just 8 wins away from 200 and 70.1 IP away from 3000.

May 8, 201411 yr Yankees will retire Joe Torre's number 6 on August 23, before a game with the White Sox. Jeter's number 2 won't be far behind and then 11 will be the lowest number any Yankee can wear.
