I swear, baseball players get offended over nothing these days.

That wasn't even that hard of a tag.

And Conor Gillaspie should watch what Donaldson did on that play. Cause that's what he should have done last Monday, except Conor didn't even have to tag the runner, all he had to do was tag 3rd.

Wow. Did not see THAT coming.

The Twins and Kendrys Morales have agreed to a one-year contract worth a prorated portion of $12 million.

That means that Morales, pending he passes his physical, will earn in the neighborhood of $7.6 million this season. No word yet on what a corresponding roster move may be once he does sign, but Jason Kubel is a candidate to be designated for assignment.

What a waste for the Twins.

I wouldn't be surprised if you saw either of the Twins draft pick relievers: Nick Burdi or Michael Cederoth in the big league bullpen this year as well.

Morales is one guy to keep an eye on. With Paulie and Dunn leaving after this season, he could be a nice replacement. The guy didn't exactly choose a hitter's paradise to come back to play in, so that could cost him some money in the offseason. But he has to show something, obviously.

I'm guessing the Twins are really TRYING to convince their fans they can compete for a WC this season.

Signing all those pitchers, now Morales, and then the fast-moving relievers that could be added to the major league pen in the final 2-3 months.

Considering the set-backs with Buxton and Cano, they/Ryan must be starting to feel the pressure of losing too much of their fanbase in that new(er) stadium.

Shades of KW in the Dodgers' deal (Berry/Barry), although this time the Phillies "accidentally" gave up a #8 prospect in the best system in the game.

Can't imagine how often that would be brought up by Sox fans if the same situation happened and Domingo Santana went on to become an All-Star.

Manny Machado acted like a little b**** this weekend.

That's a suspension, and hopefully Showalter and his teammates get all over him for that.

5 game minimum. All because he thought Donaldson tagged him too hard. Prick.

And then he said the bat slipped after the game. Man up. Just say you were frustrated, and acted like an idiot.

He thinks he is the king. What a fool..

What happened? I saw the play at 3rd but nothing with a bat.

He's just embarrassed that it was such a s***ty bat toss, he was aiming for the pitcher. I bet he gets a ten-game suspension, then appeals it down to five. What's the point of handing out suspensions if every single one is appealed and reduced in half?

Josh Donaldson did nothing wrong yet got thrown at, beaned, and had a bat tossed at him.

Let's not forget he would have thrown his helmet at Donaldson if his momentum didn't carry him towards the ground.

What a douche.

what a coward, he was actually trying to get the pitcher(donaldson wasnt at third, got taken out in the blowout), if your that mad, go after him, dont try to act like the bat got away

Heard from two sources that Wieters' throwing program with #Orioles not going well and that surgery looks increasingly likely. However...

Gregory Polanco is being called up for the Pirates tonight. My girlfriend is a Pirates fan and she has family in Pittsburgh. I was in town and at the game a few years back when Alvarez debuted and it was nuts. It's a really fun city and they have a pretty smart fan base. I wish I was there tonight.

That's for the best. I assume Josh Harrison is going into a reserve role. I was pretty impressed by Harrison. He seems like the kind of guy who can be a lefty masher now and eventually evolve into a decent regular every day player.
