February 24, 201412 yr My favorite former Sox player who is playing for another team is .... Well, it's not Chris Getz. It is Mark Buehrle. I loved his contributions to the Sox and love his style of pitching. Get the ball and throw it. There are nights he doesn't have it and gets hit, but surprisingly on a lot of those nights, he'd still get by. Who is yours and why? Edited February 24, 201412 yr by greg775
February 24, 201412 yr Other than the obvious Buehrle, Pierzynski- Rios. Always felt like he got a bad rap and I really enjoyed him here with the exception of the 13/44 year. Still a 5-tool player who is a beast on my fantasy teams.
February 24, 201412 yr Author QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 05:21 AM) This is such a greg thread Seems like not much is going on and I had a nostalgia moment.
February 24, 201412 yr AJ. I actually followed how he was doing pretty closely last year and miss him being on the Sox the most. Buehrle would be my second choice though I don't follow how he's doing all that closely. Quentin would be my third choice.
February 24, 201412 yr Is Willie Harris still around?? lol. Jon Garland Besides Buehrle who is my favorite pitcher of all time Edited February 24, 201412 yr by BigHurt3515
February 24, 201412 yr QUOTE (MAX @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 10:19 PM) Carlos Quentin. Love the intensity. this^ the whole thing with greinke was lol
February 24, 201412 yr Carlos Quentin as well. Guy was a monster in 08. (All due respect to MB56 and AJP).
February 24, 201412 yr Buehrle and Pierzynski, but I'm not too sure how the Pierzynski thing is going to work now that he's in bahston.
February 24, 201412 yr Mark Buehrle is one of my all-time favorite White Sox players. He is one of those guys who broke pretty much every stereotype when it came to MLB and pitching. His personality was one of the most memorable of any guy I have ever seen in a Sox uniform. He is a guy you can't help but root for.
February 24, 201412 yr As so many have replied before, Mark Buerhle is my favourite because of who is he. I still remember the rain delay a few years ago where Mark water slid through the covers as a laugh. He is a great guy and character and sorely missed by me and probably a whole lot of other people. The other player would be Neil Cotts. For what that guy went through to rebuild and rebound and be so effective last year, it showed character for him to do that.
February 24, 201412 yr I also need to throw Brandon McCarthy into this. He is one of the coolest dudes around.
