Grinder Rule #1,816: take out the pitcher even when you make an out.

Eaton should be the face of the grinder rule marketing campaign.

10.6K announced attendance. How many of those ended up in the ballpark?

Oh boy. That's just pathetic. It's chilly though, right?

Maybe half.

This Twins lineup putting up 5 runs against this bunch on a cold April day does not bode well.

10,625 people stayed at home instead, Hawk.

What a nice play by Semien, although he almost let it eat him up.

Nice play all around there.

You can thank Nate Jones and Scott Downs for walking everyone.

Tells us season tickets are way down from 2013.

It's clearly not irrelevant since it affected how the players reacted after the call.

Exactly, which is what they corrected.

Honestly, what kind of person would go to a 1 PM game on a 35 degree day in April?

I question why anyone would want to go to this game unless the tickets are free. Plenty of seats available when the weather gets better.

Probably looking at 1.6 mil this year, unfortunately.

My god this game is just crawling along. I have work at 5, and I never thought I would be pressed for time getting ready for work. Probably going to spend the 9th inning in the shower. 3 hours and still 10 outs left. Yeesh.

^^^ The Chicago Bears in a race for a playoff spot in a short schedule is very different

Would Daniel Webb's arm fall off if the Sox made him pitch 2 innings every game?

You're saying Plouffe would have definitely been safe since he was almost half way. I'm not sure you can assume that.

Why are people acting surprised about the attendance? That is about as surprising as an Adam Dunn strikeout against a lefty.

You guys act like this attendance is surprising for a cold April day game.
