April 11, 201412 yr Author QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 06:08 PM) Ah the he's a fraud article after his first home run.... Ya lol bulls***
April 11, 201412 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 06:15 PM) An extremely high cheap home run. And every other homer has been crushed Shh, don't talk about that...
April 11, 201412 yr Good thing Abreu didn't choose Colorado or else everything he does would be discounted.
April 11, 201412 yr And he hardly mentions it was the TWELFTH pitch of the f***ing at bat. That is one of the better at bats you'll see.
April 12, 201412 yr QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) And he hardly mentions it was the TWELFTH pitch of the f***ing at bat. That is one of the better at bats you'll see. And if you watch the video, he was actually fooled by the pitch and paused mid-leg kick to time it.
April 12, 201412 yr Dumb article. Not that the writer is wrong, and it was a cheap HR (if distance is your only parameter), but who really cares?
April 12, 201412 yr QUOTE (onedude @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 07:14 AM) What other player hits that pitch over the fence? To me, that was by far the most impressive part. The pitch was down and in. If players make contact, they hit it off of their foot, not 353 feet.
April 13, 201412 yr Apparently none of you actually read the article. Sullivan has been writing nothing but positive Abreu articles for the past few weeks. He's been most of the national coverage, lol. He was just pointing out that it was interesting that the homer was such a cheapie. Let's not act like fanboys, guys. We don't have to get mad at every word about Abreu that doesn't call him a god.

Thank you. If nothing else, it's justice or karma or whatever. In the opening series against the Twins, he absolutely murdered a ball to CF that was brought back in because of humid and cold air that only went about 380 feet. In June or July, it clears the CF wall easily. It's OK to have cheap home runs. Cheap ones count just the same as balls that are destroyed.
