I like Victor, but he is going to get PAID. If we are spending money anywhere, I want a corner OF, 3B, or SP.

That would be nice. With an off day tomorrow, I fear this game ends up being a quick, 4-0 loss and they get the hell out of there.

I agree Sox have other issues but at 36 next year he may be cheaper than people think in a 2 or 3 years deal.

The DH only DH has become passe. Martinez is going to take a huge paycut, as will Dunn.

It is made easier and easier with guys like Putnam, Carroll, and Noesi showing good things. That lessens the amount of patience the team has to have.

You can do worse, but you have to realize he's 35 (36 next year) and he doesn't really catch anymore. He's a 1B/DH with an above average, but not spectacular bat.

 

I would pay him around $10-12 million a year, but that'd be a 1 or 2 year deal. There's a chance he can decline at anytime.
