Isn't that November 12th? I thought gold gloves were tomorrow.

They're announcing the top 3 for all of the categories tomorrow at 5pm. Since Sale has no shot at top 2, we'll see if he's third.

The Player's Choice awards were announced in the last hour, and Felix, Kluber, and Sale were top 3 (Felix won). So maybe that will be the same tomorrow.

BTW, Jose Abreu won the Rookie award (shocker!)

Sale named an AL Cy Young finalist with Hernandez and Kluber.

Not likely to win.. but here's to hoping!

Found this hilarious little nugget at mlbtr..

"Cafardo says he got “a minute of straight laughter” when he asked if the White Sox might trade Chris Sale."

That's a lot of laughter. Sorry BoSox fans, guess you won't be trading for Sale after all.

You'd have to get a top ranked farm system to bite, and get their top 4 or 5 prospect's; even that, the answer is probably no.

It does suck that the Sox have so much work to do, at both the minor/major league level to not waste the best years of Chris Sale.

Thats the thing, the haul for Sale would be unprecedented. Its hard to imagine or put on paper what his true value really is because its really an unknown.

I'm not against trading any player for the right package but with Sale, what is the right package? I'm not sure it exists.

It would have to look like a Mark Texeira package... at least.

Agreed, that was a hell of a haul. Take the Dodgers for example, IMO, negotiations start with Pederson, Seager and Urias.

He has the highest trade value in baseball, but one at which no team would be willing to meet.

And I am quite OK with that.

the prob is, I would do it in a heart beat if the rtn is starting with those 3 plus a additional pitcher.

Yeah, I would take a package of Urias, Seager, Pederson and Schelber for Sale in a second.

Is this going to be discussed every off-season? We aren't trading Sale.

This. The price is beyond astronomical.

Hahn says "we're all ears" on trades and no untouchables on roster. But sounds like Chris Sale is not for sale.

No one is ever untouchable but Chris Sale is realistically untouchable.

Kluber edged Hernandez. Sale got 3rd.
