Garcia still hoping to return this season

Featured Replies

He's not returning this season.

Not a chance.

Would be awesome but doubtful.

I do not want to see Avi till he is 100% healthy in 2015.

I like the attitude but ya not happening.

Work like you're coming back and then have a full offseason to learn.

If he is cleared to return he should. No reason to miss the entire season just because.

It didn't sound like anyone believed he'd be cleared but him.

There not going to put a player back on the field before he is medically cleared. The benefit of coming back this season is he has that hurdle crossed for the off-season.

It's possible but remote the he could be cleared. It's a 3-6 month rehab for the everyday person. This puts it in Sept or Oct. With the stress he'll have on it the rehab will probably be towards the conservative end.

If he is ready, no reason not to play him.

I would be stunned if he played in a sox uniform late in the season

Gotta love his positive attitude.

I want a hummer from Kate Upton, but I need to be realistic as well

It would be nice if he could get some in AB's in the AFL or DWL to try and get some timing back before spring training next season, perhaps even a late season minor league rehab assignment if he is ready ahead of schedule, but I dont see anyway he should be back on the ML roster this season.

Per Avisail Garcia, he said in late May hadn't given up hope on 2014. Told today he's still out for season. http://bit.ly/1oby7nF

I am looking forward to a 100% healthy Avisail in 2015, no reason to play again in 2014.

Avisail Garcia - OF - White Sox

Avisail Garcia (shoulder) played long-toss from about 200 feet Sunday.

Garcia won't play this season after having surgery in mid-April to repair a torn labrum and avulsion fracture in his left shoulder, but it sounds like his recovery is going well. The 23-year-old remains an intriguing long-term fantasy option.

Good, he needs a lot of practice getting to fly balls.

He will be back this season, if if he plays only a few weeks. Guy is an animal.

Only if he's ready.

He was by far the dude I wanted to see the most this year along with Jose.
