Danks wasn't great tonight, but this will be his 11th quality start in 13 starts....Only 8 pitchers in baseball have more.

 

His ERA, at least for the moment, is under 4.

I don't know if there are numbers or something out there to support this, but it doesn't seem like Danks has anymore speed on his pitches these last five starts, or so, but it seems like his change up has depth and slant again. My eyes are telling me that it was mostly flat, and just slower than his fastball. Now it seems to have back that downward, and/or backwards (back towards a lefty hitter, instead of away from him) movement on it.

I know it is counter-intuitive, but I would be looking to sell Putnam right now if I was Rick Hahn. I just get the feeling there is no way he repeats this again next year, and if we can get something nice for him, good.
