Actually, I seem to recall that Sale was mostly a fastball/change guy and that the slider was a work in progress. It obviously worked well.

Luckily, our current third baseman is hitting like a superstar and we have several MIF prospects doing very well. Lots of time (like, years) for Davidson to get things worked out without any noticeable damage to the big league club.
July 31, 201411 yr horrible start for Trayce, but post allstar break he is hitting .275/.366/.500 in 36 games. Striking out at a 26% clip during that span, which is a big improvement compared to how he was doing.

He obviously has another month at Charlotte, and then will most likely be btought up in September, and we'll all be able to see him for at least a few games.
