W-S twitter saying both scored as earned runs

QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 30, 2014 -> 01:27 PM)
I believe this to be correct.

Rodon was definitely featuring his change up. I wonder if this is something they have Perdew working him give how advanced his slider is.

I think the same. I mean when Sale came out, he was known for his electric fastball and slider. Just had to develop that 3rd pitch, the change up. Add that to Rodon's arsenal and he can be deadly.

Pitch sequencing:

- Fastball for a ball

- Fastball for a called strike

- Fastball for a ball

- Fastball for a swinging strike

- Slider for a swinging strike

STRIKEOUT

- Unidentified fouled

- Unidentified fouled

- Unidentified fouled

- Fastball for a ball

- Changeup for a swinging strike

STRIKEOUT, REACHES ON WILD PITCH

- Fastball for a ball

- Unidentified for a called strike

- Unidentified for a ball

- Fastball for a ball

- Fastball for a called strike

- Unidentified for a ball

WALK

- Fastball for a ball

- Unidentified for a flyout

FLYOUT

- Changeup for a called strike

- Changeup for a ball

- Fastball for a ball

- Fastball for a swinging strike

- Fastball for a ball

- Unidentified for a foul

- Fastball for a ball

WALK

- Fastball for a called strike

- Slider for a ball

- Unidentified for a hit

BASE HIT

- Changeup for a called strike

- Fastball for a called strike

- Unidentified for a foul

- Changeup for a swinging strike

STRIKEOUT

- 1.0 IP, 1H, 2ER, 2BB, 3K

Actually, I seem to recall that Sale was mostly a fastball/change guy and that the slider was a work in progress. It obviously worked well.

Rodon should be at least a little rusty. So the walks and WP shouldn't concern anyone.

My apologies, thanks for correcting me

Not concerned. Encouraged that he got a lot of swinging strikes and struck out the side.

I don't post much, especially in the FutureSox area...but just wanted to give everyone a kudos for their work in the FutureSox area. I love reading about what all of the prospects are up to and how they are progressing. Keep up the great work everyone!

No Carlos Sanchez last night or tonight? Hmmmmm.

Or it means nothing.

great news for him and family.

Davidson now at least 3 for his last 38 with no homers. Hard to get excited about a prospect that has hit under .200 in 3 out of 4 months this year.

Luckily, our current third baseman is hitting like a superstar and we have several MIF prospects doing very well. Lots of time (like, years) for Davidson to get things worked out without any noticeable damage to the big league club.

Jake Peter 1-1 HR

Trayce Thompson 1-3 HR

Jared Mitchell 3-3

Rangel Ravelo 1-3

horrible start for Trayce, but post allstar break he is hitting .275/.366/.500 in 36 games. Striking out at a 26% clip during that span, which is a big improvement compared to how he was doing.

Mitchell is killing it back in AA, but I don't know if it means anything.

I'm all for seeing him get a September call-up and hoping for a miracle

Would like to see Jake Peter get a promotion to Kanny

Two of us here feel that way. He obviously has another month at Charlotte, and then will most likely be btought up in September, and we'll all be able to see him for at least a few games.

Jake "the Snake" (can his nickname be anything else?) with his first HR. His stat line is tumescent. Promote that man.
