We need a Shuckin' base hit here. We need it bad.

Mother shucker.

Shucks.

QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:42 PM)
LOL you're ridiculous.

and you are lazy

QUOTE (brett05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 11:42 AM)
Again, it's a myth and I provided the link to show that.

lol alright bro.

i am excusing myself from this (awful) argument. Rodon is not going to re-sign with the Sox, and we are (correctly) going to hold him down for a bit to gain an entire extra year of his services.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:42 PM)
I gave the link. Feel free to read up on it.

I did. I saw one guy in five years.

Agreed...at least the team did not quit

Is Avi hurt? Seems like that was a no brainer spot for him to pinch hit...?

why limit it?

Can we get back to the game?

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 07:43 PM)
You're having a bad year managing.

I don't get what problem people have with Beckham. He's had good at bats and played solid defense. Bonifacio, on the other hand, has looked like he's done with baseball since the second Spring Training games started.

Oh shucks.

Five years seems like a pretty reasonable time frame. Unless you want to go back and do more detailing, I am declaring this myth busted.

Speaking of Boras, I read the day after the Cubs drafted Bryant, they offered him $6.7 million. They waited until the deadline to sign, and Bryant wound up signing for $6.7 million.

It probably would have hurt the Cubs argument that he still needs developmental time had Boras got him out on the field a little sooner.

This is what White Sox "baseball" does to people.

Maybe Putnam doesn't totally suck this year...

Don't want to go back and read all the previous pages, but if its about Rodon possibly signing a team friendly Sale/Quintana type deal/extension you can forget that. Keep him down and get the extra year of control.

Edited by soxfan2014

Indians offense really didn't do much today. Chisenhall's double (when he should have been IBB) was their only big hit of the day.

Avi better be hitting for Soto

Maybe Putnam doesn't totally suck this year...

He gave a bomb this year but he was fairly reliable reliever last year for the most part.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:09 PM)
Seriously, research what Boras quality clients do instead of believing in the myth

QUOTE (brett05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:13 PM)
They usually sign before the seventh year materializes.

So here are you arguing that Boras clients usually sign contracts before they hit FA.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:21 PM)

When asked for an example you put the burden on the people asking.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:36 PM)
yes If Rodon is what we all hope he is he'll sign like Sale did

Then you cite a specific example of a non-boras client which doesn't help your argument at all.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:40 PM)
I didn't. I used it as an example of signing early.

This board is very frustrating.

You are the common denominator in these frustrating arguments across multiple boards, not just here.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:23 PM)
Not only that, they have given everyone the same number.

wait..... 42... ohhhh, today is jackie robinson day???

I caught the game from the end of the 4th inning, so i was caught unaware.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:50 PM)

He'll be fine in the middle relief role.
